Long story short - I hate my boss and I can't work at my hagwon anymore. It's making me crazy.

I signed the contract in September and I have an F4 visa.

I suspect the contract may not even be valid - there is only one signed copy in existence (in pencil at that) and the front cover is missing. Yeah. Besides that the contract is pretty sketch.

First, there are no set work hours. I was hired under a misunderstanding that I would be working from 9-4 but they were working under the notion that I would work from 9-6:30. We compromised in the end.

Second, the contract stipulates 33 working hours but I am doing 37 without overtime. The boss claims that it's a strange counting method that adds up in the end but I'm calling BS. The contract clearly states that a 40 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour long class all count as 1 hour and I have 37 40 minute classes.

Can I simply walk off the job without having to worry about them pursuing any legal action against me?

You have an F visa. What you worrying about?

You can walk anytime if your boss even show a sign of breaking your contract.
