I think I want to get a bicycle but I have no idea how much they cost here. I don't need a fancy one just something to take to work and ride when I am bored. What is a reasonable price I can offer at the local bike shop?

I bought a used bike in good condition from a bicycle shop in town for 50,000 won. The bike shop owner also does any repairs I need (I don't have any tools).

The new sit up style ones with baskets were 150000 to 220000 for one with a few gears (mine has 7) at my local (rural) store. I don't know how much the mountain bike style ones were.

much cheaper if you buy online (auction.co.kr or gmarket.co.kr)
ask a local to order it for you, with your credit card.

i bought a folding bike (26 inch) back in June for W98,000. later found out it was being sold at a shop for W150,000.

for some reason, i see the price has gone down since.
