Is Obama actually going to find a policy that includes a plan for how to get out of the mess? This could be the straw that broke the elephant's back, stirring up the pro-war Right into a frothing conniption fit that leads to the explosion of their collective heads--Not a penny for health care, rescuing the economy or infrastructure, but billions and trillions for killing our little brown brothers! Ye-haw!

"WASHINGTON President Barack Obama does not plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team, pushing instead for revisions to clarify how and when U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government, a senior administration official said Wednesday.

That stance comes in the midst of forceful reservations about a possible troop buildup from the U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, according to a second top administration official.

In strongly worded classified cables to Washington, Eikenberry said he had misgivings about sending in new troops while there are still so many questions about the leadership of Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Obama is still close to announcing his revamped war strategy most likely shortly after he returns from a trip to Asia that ends on Nov. 19."

Whatever the plan is, I hope they stop leaving weapons for the Taliban.

This video makes me sick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uj6sRlzgik

At a time when so many American taxpayers are struggling financially, what in the Hell is the military doing leaving behind all of these weapons to the Taliban??? How many American men and women will die from these American weapons?

Even though I think it's probably not him, one guy in the video looked an awful lot like Osama bin Laden.

Nothing definitive yet. Let the man take his time. This one requires deliberation.
