Just checking... the first time through the game I did not shoot at any civilians but of course helped against the Russian SWAT teams (not that it helped me at the end of the mission). Just checking, statistically, how other MW2 players acted.

Like a guard at the Nazi concentration camps, I just followed my orders.

It came on the screen to follow the the lead of the terrorist leader, so that's what I did. Twisted Evil

This is bound to be the latest video game controversy.....it is pretty hard-core though. Shooting dozens of joe-average looking people who were sipping latte's in Starbucks until you come in guns blazing.

I noticed there were no children around.....or were there? Can't remember any children.....I guess Activision thought that was a bit too far.

I'm not the suggestible type.......these violent shooter games have always just been pixels on a screen to me......but I can see how the sick and twisted out there could take pleasure in certain games....

What's so different about this and the thousands of humans the player must brutally kill in Left For Dead? Because they're zombies?

My roommate decided to walk in during the beginning of that scene and she was pretty weirded out.

I killed everything but I used the Nuremburg excuse: just following orders.

Of course in levels like these I have to mess around, throwing flashbangs and it missed off my teammates cuz they got blinded and they called me a traitor lol

The story is stupid as hell, that's like Obama going to a US airport and firing on everyone, as if no one would recognize him and for what reason? He can have someone else do it.

Looking back now, this must have been the mission that we was warned about at the start of the game.

Nobody was left moving by the time i was finished! I think i had even ran out of bullets in one of the guns by the time the SWAT team arrived!

I thought if i didnt shoot then the cover would be blown?

I slaughtered them with a smile on my face. Dude, I've destroyed entire planets so why would I care about some Russian travelers? IMO, the drama is eye-rollingly thick, that's not a good thing, but who plays CoD for the plot. Still, a ballsy, commendable move for Infinity Ward.[/i]

Okay, just over 3/4 of respondents joined the shooting and 2/3 of the rest like polls Very Happy

Finished the single player campaign after 6 hours Sad now it's time to check for servers (two days ago at Midnight it was just me, myself and I but I was also having a mass download in the background). Also an HD upgrade to 160GB messed up my PS3 some, so it needs some love and care first.

For some reason I just had to think of The Sims 3 when I set up all NPC as little avatars of my friends and family, set them on fire in the kitchen and just watched them burn to a little pile of ashes Twisted Evil

I wanted (but forgot) to put "Banana" as a final option. That would have been close enough.

It's just tasteless. You can't go from JUMP A GORGE ON A SNOWMOBILE AT ONE KABILLION MILES AN HOUR to 'A serious Statement on violence and terrorism' in about 15 seconds. Plus, 4 minutes into that level it's like "Now back to Call of Duty, BLOW UP THE COPS WITH GERNADES HOOAH".

The tone is wrong, it's just tacky and icky and 'controversial' for controversey's sake.

I think that is awesome and how all political statements should be done.
