|
|
Anybody got any idea what it cost for airfare from Seoul to Dallas, Tx., one-way?
There's telling me that I've got to buy my ticket myself and they'll reimburse me. (GEPIK) Is that right?
My Korean KET is under the impression that I've got 10 days after the written visa expiration date to leave the country. But I also can't leave before then because my employment contract obligates me to 'work' until, I guess, midnight December 13th.
So....at what point have I overstayed my visa? And within what range of time do I have to book my departure date?
thanks |

My KET just talked to somebody and was informed that I didn't have that 10 day grace period.....but rather that I had to leave, I guess, specifically on 13 December.
wonderful....nice to know that I'm in good hands. |

Is there any limitation on the %age of the cost of the return airfare the school (GEPIK) is supposed to pay?
I remember hearing something about 75%.
If the cost is $1000, as the other poster suggests, then that means I'd be 'out' for $250.
True?
I hope that's not the way it works. |

www.onlinetour.co.kr < Typically the best prices I've ever been able to find.
One way December 14th to Dallas, one stop, on JAL airlines. 7 slots left.
690,000 KRW after taxes. Or $598. Which is about what I thought it should be to such a major destination.
The site is in Korean though. Searching is easy enough even without understanding the language. Just leave everything default on the left except for: Top menu, choose the second option for one-way (you can see it's one way as one of the calendar/date choices below disappears). For destination, just search 'Dallas' and it will find it. For dates - just click the calendar buttons.
Booking is...difficult...I'd imagine, I've always had my good Korean friend go through that bit for me, as it seemed a bit likely I'd make an error.
Q though - what is the %age thing you mentioned? |

Look on your ARC card. You must leave by the date on your card, unless you get an extension from immigration. Immigration will give you an extension up to 30 days provided you show a ticket. |
