My PS contract runs until February 26. A nearby community college has asked me to sign a contract now stating a start date of March 1. Is there a conflict, signing a second contract while working the first? Visa And ARC expire end of Feb, too.
Since I'm asking, is a community college gig so much better than a Public Elementary, anyway, in terms of, well. . .anything? I'd be back to sharing office space, which I'm not doing now. I have no office, just the classroom to myself. And the CC is in Suwon, about 45 minutes from here. No housing assistance. Worst thing currently is that discipline in the PS is out the window.
I want to take the position, but I also want to be prepared. |

Why... are you incapable of discipline? |

Anybody wanna tell me from their experience that that's a fair question? I don't think so. Anyway, it's off topic for my question. |

you should ask the college for a contract that starts on feb 27 and get a letter of release from your public school. then you could just transfer and extend your visa in late january or early february without doing a visa run and resubmitting a full set of documents - that is assuming the college would sponsor you under an e-2, not an e-1 visa. |
