Beautiful Vitus Road Bike, Blue/Purple Aluminum frame with silver Vitus forks. Frame reads "Brevete Vitus CLB" Made in France, serial number intact.
Brought this over from USA and due to changes in the Gepik program, I am leaving Korea. Have too much stuff to take it back, so I am entertaining the idea of selling it.
Frame reads 52cm, but it is larger than that. I am 5'11'' with 32 inseam, longer torso and it it great for me. Maybe it will fit you too? Tired of the small Korean bikes, this ones for you.
Originally built up as a cross bike, it's unique components make it a true pleasure to ride. Only two things about this bike may deter you from inquiring. Seat post does not have a clamp, it has in internal bolt. Somehow over the past year or two, the bolt has seized, so the seatpost cannot be raised/lowered. Does not affect performance, just needs to find a home with someone whom it fits, as is...
Ok, now some specifics...
Drivetrain, Shimano. Ultegra front derailleur, Deore XT rear derailleur, Shimano Flight Deck combo shifters/brake levers. Shimano Hyperglide rear cassette, 9 cogs, 12-25. Truvativ Rouleur Carbon Fiber crankset with 3 chainrings, 30, 39, 53. (9x3 = 27 speed) Shimano hyperglide chain. Shimano Deore Lx mountian brake levers (you may consider replacing these with standard road brakes, they are not the strongest or fastest brakes).
Syntace Bullhorn handlebars. Chris King Headset. (Recently purchased a newer Cinelli Frog 26 Clamp 1 Inch 110mm Length Road Stem but not in Korea yet. I will be bringing it back toward the end of October and it will be included- if you are interested in Road brakes, let me know, I can pick them up in the States also...)
Rolf Vector Comp front wheel. 18 spoke. Blue/ very similar to the frame color, with Bontrager skewer.
Gipiemme T-Tre rear wheel. 24 spoke. Silver/ rear triangle of bike is silver/ nice match. Standard skewer.
Panaracer Urban Max 700x32c road wheels (slightly wider and stronger wheels, great shape.- Presta valves)
American Classic seatpost with Selle SMP TRK seat (Brand new- bought here) * also have Specialized comp 143 seat (yours if you want it).
Shimano SPD Compatible Pedals PD-M324 (one side is flat - regular shoes, the other side is clip in) * heavy pedals, but awesome!!!
Lastly, I will include the new Kryptonite frame mounted lock (purchased in the States in 2007) + Kryptonite cable. (wheels do not need to be removed to securely lock)
MISC. included (Specialized bar tape, enough for 4 more wraps; Rim tape- 1 rim; small Zefal pump; tire levers; allen wrenches; chain removing tool, electrical tape, etc...)
Overall it's a great bike, and I am sure you will LOVE it. I hate to let it go, but I wasn't planning on leaving this soon, and I have three other bikes back home, so I gotta let it go.
Like I said, I can bring back standard road brake calipers if you want, let me know. Newer Cinelli 'frog' road stem will be brought back October 27th and will be included.
Asking 2,000,000 Won, but would prefer U.S. Dollar equivalent. (Approx. $1,700). Serious Offers above $1,250 will be considered.
email me if you would like more pictures...
Thanks for looking. Happy cycling.
