WTF? Craziness! All that time and tax payer money spent on a pot smoker. Start jailing the corrupt politicians, and corporate execs instead...

Actor gets 4 years for drug use

I wonder how much time he's going to get for this:

He also said that although he did smuggle methamphetamine into the country, he did not offer the drugs to others.

He should have said " I was drunk when I took the drugs." He would have gotten off.

Only if he talked about how much stress he was under which lead to the drinking and the chain of events.

I am surprised the whole Korean way of saying you're sorry and showing remorse didn't get him off totally like Dr. (snicker) Hwang did.

Meh.

There are plenty of (black) Americans serving life sentences for much smaller offences. Probably even some whites too. Not wealthy ones though.

Are you sure the 4 years wasn't for the meth he admitted he smuggled? I know this may sound crazy, but sometimes Korean newspapers misreport things in English.

4 years for meth transportation/dealing is pretty reasonable. Considering the utter devastation that meth has done I think it's pretty lenient.
