Not exactly a household name, but if you've listened to any popular music in the last fifty fifty years or so, you've probably heard his influence. Acts he signed/promoted/created etc. ran the gamut from Bobby Darin to The Archies to Kansas, to name just a few. And that's not mentioning his televised concerts, featuring some very big names.
