I cannot access any of the posts on gepik's website posted by dini turner that allude to it because it gives me a Korean error message saying one must be a member to read the posts.

Since I will soon have to give some thought as to whether I'll want to renew or not (provided the school doesn't lose its gepik net funding) any info on relevant changes or new clauses for 2010 would be appreciated.

why not?

who's eligible to a member on that website, and if it's only Korean teachers and administrators why would Dini Turner be putting up posts in English?

I've heard that...

*Money for after school classes may be cut.
* The acomodation deposit clause will be removed and worded in some alternative way so as to sound legal.
*The school may no longer provide a cheap lunch.

that wouldn't be that bad. I'd only do after school classes for less than 20K if given some other perks or if I were treated exceptionally well. I'd do it for my current school brass, not necessarily for a different one.

they already have my accomodation deposit, so that doesn't matter.

no more fish soup, seaweed, squid and rice?
I'm keeping my fingers crosssed.

what have you heard about the rumor that they'll axe all the net's who teach less than 22 hours?

The afterschool thing would be a friggin' pain. I wouldn't mind, but its FIVE extra lesson plans/paperwork a week. Plus, they gave me 2 1st graders, 3 second graders, 3 3rd graders, 2 4th graders and 2 5th graders in the same class. I have to make 2 lessons for each of those classes just to keep everyone in the loop.

I like my school lunch. It'd still be a fair shake at twice the price. Beyond that, permission to leave the grounds and seek out lunch would be nice.
