| Hi, I'm going to this specific area this week and was wondering if anyone can enlighten me about the area. I was reading about it, but it doesn't seem like there is going to be much of a nightlife around this area. Anyone teach or live here before? Is there nightclubs, good places to drink, etc? Also, if anyone can give me any tips on where to play basketball or find a gym in this area, that would be much appreciated as well. |

It depends a bit where you live in Yuseong-gu how far it is to go out. I'm not exactly sure how far Yuseong-gu extends, so my numbers could be off by 10 minutes or so. Most likely it will be a 5-10 minutes walk to the Cheongnam/KAIST pub area, 30 minutes or so walk to new downtown (Dunsandong) and quite far to get to old downtown. You shouldn't have any reason to complain living in Yuseong, I think it's one of the better places to live in Daejeon.
If you want to find out which clubs are in which area just do a search about it. I think it has been 2 or 3 threads about pubs in Daejeon the last month. |

| I'm going to be in jijok-dong. I saw the thread about pubs, but I was more interested in nightclubs specifically. My friends are coming up in December and they want to go to nightclubs, so I wanted to find a couple nightclubs around the area. Thanks for the heads-up though. Forget all about KAIST, but I wonder if there are any good-looking girls that go to that school. |
