I've been banging my head against a wall trying to figure out how to solve a problem that should be incredibly easy. I'm trying to buy Microsoft Points to use to buy DLC on Xbox Live. But I seem to have run into some problems.

- I tried to buy points online to my US account with my US credit card, but that didn't work because Microsoft Points are region locked.

- I tried to buy MS Points using my Korean Xbox Live Silver account through the console and through Microsoft's website, but there is no available option to purchase points online at either location.

So, the only way I can purchase points is through retail outlets? Unless I can somehow purchase points online, which retail stores in Korea carry MS Point cards? I already tried Hi-Mart but had no luck. I really don't want to head all the way to Yongsan for this...

There were a couple of online services that would take PayPal and e-mail you the code off the card. A lot of them got shut down, but some Googling about might help.

I buy all my Points off eBay. After I purchase, the seller emails me the code about 6 hours later, and the price is the same as buying a card in the States

What about buying a live account that koreans get, but using it for an American x box instead?

So, after digging around the internet for awhile, I found Microsoft's official Korean website for purchasing points:

http://www.onlinepoints.co.kr/

It's all in Korean and kind of a pain to get registered, but you buy the points and then get an authorization code texted to your cell phone instantly.

Can you use Microsoft Points that are meant for the US server in Korea? I was told my Microsoft Customer Support that any points I buy in the US could not be applied to the Korean server.

I never had any server issues when applying points to my account. I registered my Live in the States over 5 years ago, I buy U.S. Points cards and put them on my American-bought Xbox here in Korea. No issues. My ISP is C&M if that helps

I bought some cards, but they only had 3 months which was 20,000 won. One year would've been much better.
