Coca Cola is franchised, meaning that what happens in one country isn't necessarily the same as another.
Coca Cola HQ is only interested in being able to retain their SYRUP profit margin (the thing that they sell to local companies), so as long as Coca Cola Korea maintain their payment to Coca Cola HQ, then what Coca Cola Korea want to do with their distribution is up to them.
The same goes for Costco, btw... it is also franchised - in Korea, the Samsung Group has the licence. |
