I'm having issues with trying to get these 2 laptops that are on the same wireless network to be able to communicate in a way that I can seemlessly transfer files and share a printer.

Is this even possible with a 7 OS and XP?

Basically, it sounds like MS is trying to push XP out by making this kind of thing difficult.
