I have been offered a post with EPIK after passing the interview, but the final documents have not yet been submitted. Currently, I am level 3, but I have already passed Masters. This reflects on my academic transcripts, and I have also sent a letter from the university stating this fact. The thing is, I don't have my Masters degree certificate yet as I have not graduated. My recruiter says that this is not good enough to become level 2 and that they need my original certificate.
Is it possible to submit my final application to EPIK as a level 2, with the condition that I present the Masters certificate later? Or, if I sign on as a level 3, will they promote me when I prove that I have fulfilled the requirements? Or does one always stay at a given level for the duration of the contract?
(I have already sent them the certificate for the first degree, so I have enough documentation for a visa). |

It depends on three things: the date you graduate; the date you start your contract and to what pay level you agree.
For 2010 contracts, EPIK has added the following to Article 2 (Pay Level) -
③ Any new qualifications obtained after the beginning of the Term of Employment will not subsequently change the Pay Level during the Term of Employment; the Pay Level will remain that agreed to at the beginning of the Term of Employment. |
