The soccer story sounds a little fishy - maybe it'll be used as a toxic waste dump.
I remember being there (for a Super Bowl in '82) when it was still fairly new and showcased as perhaps the premier stadium of the NFL.
According to the Wikipedia article, the original cost of $55 million in 1975 would be worth $220 million in 2009 dollars.

Why didn't anyone tell me? I'd have come up with $585,000. I always hate to miss out on a good sports stadium deal.
Now, anyone got any airports going cheap? I know, I know. I owe a lot of people a lot of money for a lot of airports, but I've got a plan.
Trust me. |
