Anyone know if the 7 day H1N1 quarantine is still in effect? I've heard conflicting reports, but school believes it is, effectively cutting vacation a week short. |

It's not still in effect for the simple reason it was never in effect. The only reason someone would be quarantined is if they were to actually exhibit symptoms of the virus. Merely traveling overseas does not constitute grounds for quarantine. |

But Korea isn't big on following rules. They do as they wish and try to legitimize it. |

Define "they" in your post, please. I work for a public school in Busan and my school's following the actual government guidelines to a "T" in regards to the H1N1 virus. |

I work for a university. They are insisting the government has in effect this rule that when returning from a foreign country, staff cannot report to their workplace for 7 days (symptoms or no symptoms). |

Tell them to show you proof of such a rule. |

There is no rule or law. Its all garbage. I know teachers and business peope who travel and come back to school day after they arrived. I know for sure its against Human Rights policy to not allow you to travel just because they say so which a lot of hagwons seem to be pulling and getting away with. |
