I'm curious ... in your experience, do public and semi-private elementary schools typically book and pay for your flight home at the end of your contract themselves, or do you book it yourself and are later reimbursed by the school?
Second, what is their legal requirement regarding your flight if you're NOT leaving the country?

Generally you are expected to book it yourself and they will reimburse you upon receiving a receipt/copy of the ticket...in theory anyway.
If you are not leaving the country then they may not have to pay. Most contracts (in my experience) have a clause stating that you have to leave the country within ten days or so in order to be reimbursed. What does your contract say about that? |
