By this time those guys with the firewood and garbage pale sweet potato cookers are usually on the streets. Anybody know any place on the east side of Seoul where one of them has set up shop? I can't reproduce the flavor they create using my home oven so I'm willing to hike a bit. Thanks.

Wow, I suddenly feel very nostalgic. I only got the sweet potatoes once last year, but it was an amazing, delicious treat. I'll take a few of those over the fish pastries any day.

The walnut confections, though, top them all.

There was one by Gangdong Station Exit 1 when I was there a week ago at about 9:30pm.
