In 75 days I've downloaded 751gb. I'm a fan of Netload.in and Rapidshare.com. I mostly download DVDSCRs and Blu-Ray flicks.

Good lord. Where are you keeping all of this?

I think I upload more than I download. I download a ton of music and some movies to watch on the subway. I download maybe 3gb/day average, and upload maybe 5gb/day.

Just wondering when my hard drive will die from spinning 24/7

i do about 5 or 6 gigs a day, my external HDD died so ive lost alot of space. Luckily with the speeds here its faster to download and delete and redownload than try to find a particular movie haha.

What site do you use for rapidshare links? (and a rapid share account doesnt let you dl that much???)

Netload.in - allows unlimited download
Rapidshare.com - allows 2.66gb download (it used to be a lot more, but it's since been changed)

I use tehparadox.com, forumw.org, warez-bb.org, and sinlesslinks.com for rapidshare and netload links.

Where does everyone else download their movies? Anybody else use rapidshare or netload?

I have a huge list of torrent sites but usually stay with torrentleech.org. Usually I get 4Mb-5Mb/sec, and the upload takes a while but the PC is allways on. I have downed 1.26 terrabytes in maybe 2 years, and have a ratio of 1.4 .

I download a lot recently as I'm heading back to Canada where I am fearful of the limitations and my rather addictive download habits.

Presently I have 2 terabytes of TV and Movies, pretty much of stuff I wanna keep, mostly big/long running series and documentaries take up a lot of that space. To me it saves not only a massive amount of physical space (no DVD's everywhere) but also $$.

I have a 1 terabyte drive in an MVIX 780DVI media case and a terabyte plus a 500GB both in a Hardbox MD22 Dual HDD case which is linked to my MXIV via USB which makes all media playable on my TV without PC needed. I love my MVIX!!

Very handy setup, but the 500GB is my last available space and I know that'll be upgraded to a terabyte before I leave in March.

Deeply, deeply, deeply, scr*wed....

Buuuuuuuut I can always re-download....can't think of a better way to cart movies around the world. The alternative is thousands of DVD's that cost a fortune in costs and shipping everytime I move (which has been a lot)

For the few bucks I've spent on HDD's and cases, I'm sure I can always get a backup system...cheap enough...much much cheaper than alternatives.

It varies, but at least 30GB per week.

I got a new Samsung 1TB (100,000, runs quiet and cool. Very recommended) a few weeks ago, so I've been hitting the HD movies on BTjunkie pretty hard to fill it up so I can have lots to watch during the Winter vacation.

Just finished downloading the complete Seinfeld (32GB)......... the complete SG-1 (73GB)............and about 300GB's of 720p and 1080p movies.

The Watchmen in 1080p is awesome.

Transformers 2 in 1080p does absolutely nothing to improve it.....still unwatchable....

Since February 2008 I have downloaded... I don't even remember but I have it all stored on Seagate FreeAgent 500 GB and 1 TB drives, and I have a total of 15 TB drive space give or take a terabyte. Just bought 2 new ones last weekend. Content is almost entirely TV series in standard DivX and 720p quality, and roughly 1,500 movies in 720p and 1080p.

Someone once asked me when I have the time to watch it all. Maybe I just adopt a few babies so I can pass them on.

Nowadays 80% is downloaded from Netload (which sucked until JDownloader was released), the rest is Rapidshare (I used to have 8 different accounts but when they decided to suck, I switched to NL), Megaupload and Megashares (the two latter less and less).

Hotfile is a candidate now because they are fast and not expensive.

Link sources as mentioned above, tehparadox.com, hdmania.org, avaxhome.ws, softarchive.net and eztv.it. There used to be Demonoid once but they're under maintenance forever now.

Last year I got 2 1.5 TB Seagates from Thailand but one was dead on arrival (I could recover all files after putting it for 24 hours in the freezer and staring at it whilst cursing in my native language, English and Thai) and the other one had hiccups but has been running peacefully for almost a year now. I'll stick with the FA 1TB desktop model for now, it's cheap and slim.

Added: The movies are great to watch on the TViX 6500 but with only 2 USB ports, I need to do a lot of HD juggling. I wish I had built a 16TB HD Farm right away.

I am also of the opinion that piracy is the ONLY reason for internet speeds above 10 Mbps

I don't download very much any more. Maybe about 5gigs a week max. I usually just watch flash videos. My downloads usually consist of books/lectures on tape.
