I have an 8am flight out of incheon, if i wait until 6am to take the subway i wont get there in time. Does anyone know how much a cab from gimpo airport to incheon cost and how long it takes.

I looked into leaving the day before and staying at a hotel but the cheapest hotel i could find was about $100, i'm hoping taking a cab will be cheaper.

I stayed at Guesthouse Korea in Airport City Plaza for around 38k won. Free shuttle bus to Incheon just 5 minutes away.

Maybe it's still open?

Guesthouse Korea looks like it's still open. Is it easy to get to from seoul? Can I take the subway?

Just get a bus to Incheon Airport from Seoul & GH Korea shuttle bus will pick you up from there, free. I asked information at Incheon to call them for me.

There's a book on the ground floor, for what time you want to go to the airport. eg 'J Citizen 7 am, room 10.1.' ( From memory, the hostel was on the 10th floor.)

Why won't you get there on time if you take the subway? It only takes 30 minutes from Gimpo to Incheon and drops you off right in the departures area.

Yeah, I would say just take the subway. It starts up from Gimpo at 5:30 getting you to ICN by about 6. ICN is very efficiently run and you certainly don't need very much time to make your flight. You could easily get there an hour before your flight and have plenty of time to make it.

airport buses are running and they are faster than the subway.... even the express one that runs on the hour but doesn't stop till the airport, if u take the subway u see the buses passing you on the high way. They should have KTX from incheon to central seoul but i guess the bus lobby has successfully blocked it

The rail section from Incheon Airport to Gimpo is open. The section from Gimpo to Seoul is still under construction.

It's about a 30 minute ride if I remember correctly? Should set you back about 20,000-25,000 won. But I'd check at the info counter to see if the limousine buses are running at that time because they are only about 7,000 won. They go direct from Gimpo to Incheon.

its not worth it to take the subway to ICN from gimpo - it takes twice as long. Just take the bus, its cheap, fast, and starts running around 4 in the morning.

The Guesthouse is nice and they speak English. Definitely worth spending a little more money to arrive at the airport for a long flight well rested rather than already feeling rushed and stressed. They're decent rooms.
