How in the flying high monkey did you achieve this? I'm on Cathay Pacific site today and the fares are as high as the sky. These are for January and February.
Seoul to Bangkok=779,000 W
Seoul to Saigon=1.450,000 W
Seoul to Bali=1,050,000 W
Seoul to Perth=1,249,000
drum roll....
Seoul to LA=5,903,000 for economy class seat!!!!!!!!!
Can't figure out why LA and Vietnam are so pricey. All these flights have long lay overs in Hongkong, and most arrive back in Seoul at night when there are no more airport buses running. Site sure is slow to search for flights.
I'll probably contact the travel agents soon... My budjet is 700,000 tops for a 3 week trip. |

I suppose I just got lucky. I have been looking for a long time. Prices were high. I was trying to book with my Korean card, so I pulled up the Korean site to see if it would work. Well, it didn't work. I looked at the exchange rate. It was somewhere in the 1400's then. I booked with my American debit card. The fare is now gone for my departure date, but the return was available yesterday. Search by fare and use the nifty calendar thing they have. It worked like a charm.
Total Charge to Bank: $495 |

Man, I use tons of them myself. I use Kayak, Vayama ... hell, I use them all! I also check the sites of each carrier myself. After doing that, I email a truckload of travel agents! |

Hanoi/Northwest Vietnam. December 24th-January 4th.
Spent $760 (USD- bought online) on the round-trip flight. Hoping to keep the rest of the vacay under $240, for a grand total of $1000 . . . |

You're going to wish you had more time in SEA for that much money and the fact it's so pleasant during Winter. God, that's so dang expensive.
Most head to Khao San Road via taxi upon arrival and just walk into a guesthouse to get a cheap room to park your bags for a night. You can then go out and walk around in throngs of backpackers and Thais for shopping, drinking, and eating. It's best to then head out of Bangkok to the southern islands, Chiang Mai or a number of other places listed in your Lonely Planet book. You could spend years enjoying Thailand if you had them so I would recommend reading up on Thailand to make the best decision on what to do. |
