Most universities offer an intensive Korean study course during the vacations. The one I attended was a 3-week stretch 4 hours a day, including several cultural field trips for about 400,000 won. |

I just tried looking on some university websites, but either I suck at searching, or I'm looking at the wrong ones, or they don't offer classes in the winter break, but only during the summer break. Did you do yours in winter? |

Ganada Language school in Hongdae.
Good teachers and very reasonably priced (330k for 4 weeks full time),certainly compared to Uni`s.
A good proportion of the students that study there are Japanese so at least you will avoid the need to speak English (unlike the likes of YBM which are mostly made up of whiteys)

Yeah, Ganada in Hongdae might be good for you. They offer month-by-month courses, so you can study 4 weeks or 8 weeks. The class is only 3 hours a day. But with homework, review the last chapter, preview the next chapter, listen to the CD examples, do the review chapters... you can easily spend 6 or 8 hours a day on the material. |

Intensive Korean classes at universities tend to run for ten weeks. Do you have that much time? If so, where do you live? While Sogang and Yonsei are the big names in Korean language training, there are plenty of other options available if you don't want to head all the way to Sinchon. |

The course I did actually was in the summer, but there was also a winter one as well. I was on a D-4 visa at that time and already enrolled in their regular Korean program. The semesters of that program are 10 week semesters, rather than the 16 week semesters of regular university students. So at the end of 2 semesters (20 weeks) there would be an intensive vacation course. However the suggestions above might be better for you.
Here are a few examples of programs offered during winter. Granted these are in my city (Daegu) but I'm sure you could find a few such programs at some university in your city, although it may not be the university you would like or one close to you.

For this one( Daegu University) the link will not go directly to this information, but the following is what is says...
Short-term Session
Short-term Session is offered in two terms over the course of a year, in Summer and in Winter. Each term consists of three weeks.
The Short-term Korean Language Program is an integrated training program where all four language skills - speaking, listening, reading, and writing - are combined. This program focuses on improving students' communication skills by implementing practical Korean language training. It is also designed to foster the understanding of Korean culture through on-site experiential and cultural exploration.
Good Luck^^ |

Apparently, you are new to Dave's ESL Cafe. Please read the terms of service. Referring to Japanese, Koreans, Caucasians, or African Americans and others in a racist manner is a violation of the terms of service. Perhaps, you didn't mean to be offensive, but the term you used is unprofessional.
Thank you,
'Rico |
