Curious story. I'm wondering if they were tourists or 'businessmen' of some sort.

<The bodies of two Korean men were found on a beach near the Cebu Islands in the Philippines on Sunday night.
The two have been identified as 40-year-old Yang, from Gapyong, Gyeonggi Province and 41-year-old Choi from Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.
The local police say the deaths may have been a result of gang violence.
The bodies were found with multiple stab and gunshot wounds.
The Korean embassy sent a police consul to the site of the accident early Tuesday morning to look into the deaths. > |

It confirms what a taxi driver there told me last year - "We used to tolerate their arrogance, drunkenness and rudeness; now we just kill them and dump the bodies out in the province."
Amazingly, I am yet to hear a single positive comment made by a Filipino in Cebu about the hordes of Koreans who visit there (other than those made by bar girls who call them "1,2,3 men": one minute of sex with a two inch *beep* and they pay three times too much, for some reason). |

| I don't want to judge those men. We don't know the story. However, some Koreans in regards to their attitudes vis-a-vis people from poorer countries remind me of some Gulf Arabs who have similar attitudes in some cases. I don't mean to generalize people in either locale, but people need some political correctness in those countries and to be told not to look down on folks just because they're poor. Korea used to be extremely poor. The Phillipines used to send the country money. |

Wow, that was some kind of "accident"! 
It's hard to believe they would have been murdered like that for simply being rude or obnoxious.
We may never know, but I'd like to find out more about what happened there. |

Lots of taxi drivers (and a couple of hotel and bar owners) I have talked to in the Philippines have told me that they no longer serve Koreans because of their behavior.
I no longer tell people there that I live/work in Korea because the conversation then generally turns to "how can you stand to live/work in Korea?" It is easier just to lie and say I work in the USA. |

What's the big deal? Just tell them you work in Korea for the money, since that's apparently why you do it.
Most people understand the concept of being paid. I don't see why it needs to become some greater issue. |
