I put my name down for an Iphone, so I downloaded Itunes to get my music in order. I've avoided Apple products in the past cos of their stupid region rules, but the Iphone is a cool piece of tech. Anyway, this is my first experience with their stuff and I've a few questions, one specifically Korea-related and two general.

If I register with my home country's Itunes store, am I locked into using that store? What if I want to download Korea specific stuff? Can I create a couple of accounts?

My girlfriend and I are both getting Iphones, but we only have one computer. I remember hearing something about Ipods only being usable with one computer. Can we use both Ipods with the same computer? What issues should I be aware of?

Finally, I downloaded Itunes and it asked me if I wanted to convert my WMA tracks into AAC. I said yes, but now I have two versions of every track showing in the list, both of which are AAC. This seems weird. What's going on? It may have something to do with the fact that my computer crashed halfway through converting the first time round.

I know these questions might be basic but the info on the wider web seems to assume people know what they're doing!

Thanks

From what I gathered by looking online, you're locked into one store based on your account. So if you sign up for a US store account, you can only purchase things from that store and not the Korea store and vice versa. The US store does have some Korea stuff, like subway maps and what not. Also you can have have two separate accounts of iTunes on a single computer. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495.

My parents both have iPhones and when ever my father buys an app it gets put on my mom's phone as well.

As for region locked apps, not sure about that since I have purchased Korean and Japanese language apps in the past. Actually, now that I think about it, they were multi language so that may have had something to do with it.
