hey guys, need help/clarification.
I'm flying soon to go korea to teach english first time.. and im thinking that i will most likely need a phone...
and i was told by a friend (who speaks broken english) that.. i have to wait 6 months with my alien id card in order to sign up to a mobile phone plan? is this true?

or.. can i just sign up regardless of how long i've had my id card for?

If your employer is efficient then you can get your Alien card withing two weeks of arriving.

Then you can get a contract phone.

Or you could just buy second-hand phone for 60,000 won and use pre-pay cards to get up and running right away.
