While you are living in Korea why not take advantage of getting your CASI certification. CASI stand for Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors and KASSI, Korea's only authorized course provider, will run level 1 and level 2 tests in 2010. The dates are given below.
A CASI certification will allow you to teach snowboarding in Canada and internationally. All courses are provided in either French or English. This is perfect for English teachers who want to teach English abroad and teach snowboarding-English.
Participants do not need to be Canadian.
The dates are:
January 22-24 (level 1)
January 26-28 (level 1)
January 31-February 2 (level 1)
February 10-12 (level 1)
February 4-7 (level 2)

God no. 이렇게 and 그렇게, knowing the names of the body parts involved as well as some sentences would be enough. You don't need to speak fluent Korean to teach something like snowboarding.
My friends have learned Hapkido and Taekwondo from Koreans who didn't speak fluent English. They learned it very well, too. The most important thing is posture correction--you just need to go up someone who needs help and physically correct their posture/movement in order to align them with the demonstrations. |

Yes, you do need to speak Korean if you are teaching snowboarding in Korea BUT CASI is all about being able to teach in English or French as CASI is a Canadian association. With CASI certification you can teach snowboarding locally or internationally, but the language of instruction is English or French.
