I'm in the HBC and got the C&M cable/internet package a few months ago. When I first got it hooked up I was having major connectability issues. Couldn't stay online, patches of extreme slowness, etc..
I had the repair guy come over a few times and he finally replaced the old recycled router they had originally brought over with a brand new one and I thought everything would be alright. He went to one of the speed tests sites and it looked like I was running above average speeds.
My current situation is a little strange. I am getting pretty quick download speeds, but page loading and video streaming are awful. I can download an album fast than I can load a YouTube video sometimes.
I've called C&M a couple times over the past two weeks, only to wait on hold for the English customer service and never get a response, or give my phone number to a Korean customer service agent with the promise that someone will call me back. No one ever does.
So, my question is whether other people have experienced some of these same problems? Is there an upgrade available? I mean, the service is dirt cheap, so I wouldn't even mind paying a little more for some more bandwidth.
Any advice/help would be appreciated. |

We didn't have the best luck with C&M, either. We have had much better luck with our new cable provider (because we moved). |

The ping time with C&M is horrible.
you can check out this thread:

I posted my thoughts on C&M there as well.
I'm also in HBC and I use KT Megapass FTTH now and its much better. |

Does anyone know off the top of their head how much it costs to break contract? Will another company let me sign up for less than a year? I have 9 months left on my school contract and don't know if I'll stay next year. |

When we moved, they allowed us to break the contract (no sure which cable company). There is a clause for that sort of thing, sometimes. |
