After a long hiatus from find anything new to listen to, I'm interested in seeing what there is out there.

Here's what I'm looking for-

Electronic stuff like: The Bloody Beetroots, Justice, Digistalism

Electronica stuff like: Ratatat, Chromeo

Jazz stuff like: Robert Glasper

Dancepop stuff like: Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, Black Kids

And anything else good and new you can think of. I've gone through every phase of music so I'd appreciate anything from technical death metal to bossa nova.

I am surprised to see someone here knows the shanghai restoration project...

I have been following Dave Liang for almost 2 years. Lots of good stuffs. But I am looking forward to seeing he making more diverse music.

OP, try Star[Mod Edit]...............there is no paticular reason, it is just the one I am now listening to, and I noticed you like Empire of the Sun, maybe you will like their stuff.

I've been listening to The Black Keys recently. I'd never heard of them before, but they make me want to play more guitar.

They're great, aren't they? It's amazing it's a 2-man band (guitars/drums for the most part) and the guitarist makes it sound like there are at least 2 guitars going.

I am a big fan of Air, Ben Harper, Armin van Buren, Thievery Corp, Paul van Dyk, Brazilian Girls, and Ronald Jenkees. You guys have awesome taste!

I will definitely check out some of the others mentioned here. Thanks a bunch.

Although I am aware the Shanghai Restoration Project is anchored by a Chinese-American, have you guys heard of New Pants or Queen Sea Big Shark (2 bands from the mainland)?

Opeth, Opeth, Opeth!

Blackwater Park and Deliverence are my favorite Opeth records, but if you want just one song to see if you're gonna be interested, I would suggest perhaps Bleak.

Nice! I was into them for quite some time. I had a fairly long metal phase--Opeth, Necrophagist, Lurker of Chalice, Sonata Arctica--I think I lost some of my hearing.

As do you! Steed Lord's been going non-stop on my playlist as of late.

Rumdiary: Thanks for all the recommendations. I was a big Avalanches fan a while back and am currently very into both Cut Copy and Crystal Castles. Some of your other recommendations bring up old memories : )

RobertX: TV on the Radio is awesome! I've been a fan of theirs for the longest time.
