This from Craigslist:

I'm looking for private english tutor.
I want to learn and practice basic conversation. My English level is just a beginner.
I can't afford to pay enough for private lesson but I'll buy you a cup of coffee instead.

1~2 days a week/ 1 hour
cafe in Jongno

I am 20's Korean female.

Wonder what she looks like?

We've been told in our district that doing lessons even without pay is still a visa violation. They even went so far as to say that we shouldn't even do language exchange, as it could be "misunderstood".

They can kiss my backside with that nonsense. Basically every interaction we have with any Korean is a "language exchange" of one kind or another. And if I want to study Korean with a private tutor in English, I will. Ridiculous the things they think they can control in your personal life.

For just a coffee? Well then of course she looks real good. For you to be just seen with her is an honor Wink

It used to be for dinner and coffee. Times certainly have changed.

I had a couple of K-teachers and a couple of language exchanges when I first came to Korea...coffee or dinner is just the ante. The pot will sweeten in a few weeks/months.

"Cup of coffee" is indeed a euphemism for hot anal sex.

That's pretty good written english for a beginner. Got the definite, indefinite articles, and conjunctions down and those never translate right on an online machine.

I thought conversation levels track writing ability???
