Spring is here and this is a great time to clean out our homes and get rid of things we just don't need any more. My wife and I are heading off for Europe in two weeks, so we are extra motivated to let go of some things we don't want to see sit around for half a year or more. If we can make some extra money from your spring cleaning, even better, right?

So, we and some other folks in our apartment building are planning to host a Blue House garage sale this Saturday, May 23, 11am-7pm.

Among the things that we will be selling are a nearly new bicycle, barely used motorcycle helmets, various electronics, men's and women's clothing, and some miscellaneous housewares.

A secondary impetus for this sale is to help promote the Blue House Cafe and Guest House that our landlord, Jay, is about to open here in the building. Jay is a super cool guy and has traveled extensively, and he wants to create something Hongdae currently lacks- a true backpacker-style guest house and traveler cafe. We really like Jay, and want his project to be a big success, so while you are here shopping around, you can learn more about what he has in the works.

*Our building is on the right, the Blues House.


From Hapjeong station (10 minute walk):

*Take exit 2 and walk straight for several blocks
*Turn left at the street with Mart 21 and Woori Bank on the corner
*Walk a few blocks to the second stop light, and turn right.
*Walk a few more blocks to the Buy The Way on the right.
*Turn right on the alley just before Buy The Way
*Our building is on the right, the Blues House.

Paid 140,000 a month an a half ago, but it's just a little too small for my 6ft tall self (biggest they had in that price range at the time). I have ridden it perhaps 7 times, so I really want to get 100,000 for it, and perhaps 90 if you ask really nicely.

Just heard from my landlord today that he should have the cafe up and running by Saturday, so you will be able to get some refreshments as well! It's looking good down there.
