Got this in a US Embassy notice:
Quote:

Please note: the Embassy no longer has a photo booth in the waiting area. If you are applying for a passport for travel during this busy holiday season, you must bring your own 2 by 2 photograph for the application.

For more tips on making your next passport renewal or initial application a breeze, see below:

For passport applicants: Complete (but dont sign) passport applications ahead of time this considerably shortens your visit. You may fill out the required forms using the Passport Wizard at the following site: https://pptform.state.gov/?Submit=COMPLETE+FORM+DS-4085+ONLINE.

Photos: Pay special attention to passport photograph requirements and make sure you obtain 2 by 2 photos. Selecting passport photos in a photo booth wont always give you a photo in the correct size.

For minor (below age 16) passport applicants: Parents, please remember to bring your childs original birth certificate and social security number when applying for a new or replacement passport.
Additional information about passport services may be found here: http://seoul.usembassy.gov/us_passports.html.

Americans:

If you are dissatisfied with the "services" provided by the US Mission to Korea, headed by "Ambassador" Stephens, please feel free to contact the US Department of State at http://contact-us.state.gov/ and write your Congressperson / Senator at https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml / http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm .

When's the next Midnightrunner? Been missing ya, pal!

That code for 'you've' been having problems?

Sort of a random thing to throw into this thread, isn't it?

Too late buddy.

The CIA have read your post already and have contacted the state department to ensure that you get blacklisted and will never be serviced by any US embassy in the world again.

I've only had good experiences with the embassy here. Every time I've had to deal with them it has been a pleasant experience. That is in stark contrast to the US -Thai embassy where no one seemd to want to get out of bed and do anything or the US Philippines embassy where it seemed like everybody forgot to take the bipolar meds.

Why hasn't O'bama replaced the US Ambassador? After all, she was appointed by Bush. Don't new presidents generally replace Ambassadors with their own picks?
