If I didn't have a guitar in waiting I would grab this from you.

Where can I buy fret pullers in Korea? You sound like someone who knows.

I have a Yamaha SG1000 (80's) that I bought in Daegu. It needs refretting and all the trimmings. I'm trying to get started in repair and building. Thanks for any help.

Good catch. I've seen a few of those floating around.

Fret pullers/nippers are easy to make. They're nothing but front cutting pliers with the front part flattened. This allows the teeth of the pliers to be set flush against the the fretboard in order to grab the frets from underneath their beads.

Just bring a picture of a fret puller to your local hardware store. They probably have inexpensive front cutting pliers. Just pay them a little extra (2000won should be more than enough) to mill the end flat.

Thanks. I think I'll just buy a pair on Ebay or from Stew-Mac.

Good idea. That's where I buy most of mine.

I think the tools available on eBay are good enough. Unless you plan on doing this for a living, the more durable tools that Stew-Mac sells probably aren't worth the extra money.

Let me know how it turns out.

Do you have any pics of the guitar? Where are you located? This could make a good Christmas present for me!

I'll try to post pictures later tonight.

Thanks for showing interest.

Forgot to mention that the stock Epiphone pickups are included, but I don't recommend replacing the pickups I've installed with these. The Sky pickups are far superior in sound and quality.

Make me an offer.

I'm throwing in for free an assortment of paperweights (the factory-installed potentiometers).

How would this guitar do for an absolute newbie? (as in, know nothing)

I hear best practice is to learn on an acoustic, but I find the electrics I've strummed around on a lot easier to handle, strings were lighter, etc.

This guitar would quite possibly be completely wasted on someone like me, I realize this fully.

Anyways, PM me!

Note that the original Epiphone pickups are included. You can easily get 20 or 25$ for the pair on eBay if you don't use them for another project.

I'm dropping the price to 420000won. Still comes with a free set of strings (10-52, 10-46/or 9-42), the "paperweights", a gig bag, the stock pickups as a spare or an extra 20$ for you to make on eBay, and all the upgrades mentioned in my original posting. The guitar will still receive a full setup (neck relief, action, intonation) before being shipped.
