i'm interested in becoming acquainted with korean literature. does anyone have any information for me on where to start? like, who are the "biggies", what the best book by a korean you've read? also, where do you go to buy good books? i recently bought some books off of seoulselection.com, but is there anywhere else? there seems to be a shortage of info on the internet....also, try asking an employer at the kyobo for fiction books or poetry by korean authors.....they don't have much!

thanks.

Two Q's:

Q number one: Are you interested in reading the book in the oridingal Korean?

Q number two: Do comic books count?

seoulmon - i'm reading translations now, as i'm still studying and not good enough to read the original korean yet.
i'm not interested in reading comic books now. i want to know what koreans were/are writing about. i'm not discounting comic books as literature, but i'm more interested in short fiction or novels.
