I might head over there in Jan for a weekend break. Any advice/tips about the place? Where to go/stay, cheap flights etc?
I've never been and I'll probably be going alone.

Stay at K's House in Asakusa if you want to meet people/stay in a hostel.

Hotels? I stayed at Shinjuku Washington and was happy.

Which neighbourhood is the most convenient in terms of sights and entertainment? I'm only going for a couple of days, so I just want to see and do as much as possible.

Thanks

Definitely Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Harajuku - expect accommodation to be pricey in those areas though.

For such a short trip, you might be better closer to the action...Asakusa is a bit far from the main attractions.
