I've been working at the same middle school for 3 years and will going back home at the end of my current contract. My school is located in Suji, and is part of GEPIK. You can get to Seohyun, Sunae, or Jeongja in about 20-25 minutes (if you don't want to live in Suji).
I have some good co-teachers and the students behave (for the most part). My school just finished building a $50,000 English room, so you'll have your own classroom, with computers, touch screen TV, new desks, computers, English library, etc.
My school follows the typical GEPIK contract and there are opportunities for overtime. I teach 24 classes a week, as well as after school classes, so you have a chance to make at least 2.5 million+ per month.
I need to find someone reliable, is in Korea, and has experience working in a public school. I don't want a teacher who is going to quit or go back home in the middle of the contract. If you're interested, send me a PM |

When is your contract up? I might be interested if the school needs/wants 2 new teachers... I'm getting married in April and we're hoping to start working in July. We have a tentative offer (contingent upon how many current teachers stay) at a private grade school in Jukjeon, but we won't have a final answer until February. We've also spoken to a recruiter who was highly recommended. Right now, I'm just trying to keep our options open.
On a semi-unrelated note: How do you like Suji? Enough fun to be had? Close enough to Seoul? Clean? I would really appreciate any info or pictures you'd like to share.
Thanks, Bob |
