im looking to go to India in February. I was taken aback by how insanely expensive flights seem to be after a cursory glance at kayak.com and some partner websites.

what should I expect to pay for a flight to slumdogmillionareville? if anyone can recommend a travel agent or website or anything either I'd much appreciate it.

a sincere thank you for any and all help

Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Malaysia Airlines all have tickets starting under 550k won. JAL coming in at 418,500 won in mid. Feb.

That's onlinetour.co.kr

If you can't navigate that site, you might want to try the individual airline sites. If that doesn't bring in similar prices, you could get in touch with a travel agent. You might pay a few more man won, but it should still be cheaper than the American sites.

Ah, very sorry. I didn't figure in taxes!

That would add another 2-300 k to all of those but that'd still be under 700 USD. Nearly half of Kayak.

Soho Travel quoted me a little more than that (around 800k) for January flights, which are generally more expensive. They'll find the best deal for you.

thanks a lot guys.
its hard to believe that flying between these two gigantic cities could be so prohibitively expensive. It looks like i'll just have to bite the bullet with SoHo or something, thanks again for the suggestions
