| I live and work "out in the sticks" in rural Sancheong county in Gyeongsangnam-do province. I have an account in Nonghyup bank (the only bank in the area) but cannot transfer money from the local bank to my American bank. Does anyone know of any Nonghyup banks in Jinju, or Mansan or even Busan that will let me transfer money. If not a bank to bank transfer, where and what is the best way to wire transfer money. I have never wired money anywhere, since I never had the need until now. I know I can wire money to individuals, but can I wire money to my American bank. |

get an account at keb and you will be able to wire internationally to your own account in US.
I do it online all the time. No need to go downtown |

| I have an account with NH and I am able to wire money back home to Australia. Maybe it is your particular NH branch. You could try popping into a different NH branch and try there. Or you can open an account with KEB. I guy I am working with uses them and he does not even need to go into the bank or do anything online. When you set up the account you give them all the information about your bank back home. Then all you need to do is transfer your money from your NH account to the KEB account at the ATM and your money automattically gets wired back home. |
