It is called 'Obolon' and is from Ukraine.
I really like it and have not been able to find it anywhere, I drank it often back home.
Have any of you seen it while in Korea (Seoul area) or know of any place I may be able to find it?

The beer market here is still protected. More beers have been creeping in-eg German wheat beers, Asahi black beer, Aussie beers (just XXX, VB, Fosters). Added to that Koreans in general don't really go for "fancy" or esoteric beers so much.
If you were to find it, I think it'd be at an "Ice Bar". Those are bars where the imports are stuck into ice in front of your table. At a guess it'd be 8.000 or up.
Or try Wa Bar or somewhere similar I guess. Who knows-with the EURO FTA going ahead (?) it may come. Samsung-Tesco distribute through HomePlus. Try there too. |
