My laptop has Windows Home Vista Basic. I am trying to install Hangeul. I have added the keyboard in the Regional and Language Options however when I swtich between English and Korean it does not change. When I click the Korean Keyboard Properties and see the preview for it the Korean letters are completey missing. Anyone know how I can add Korean to the Keyboard layout?

Here is a pic of what I am talking about.

When I did that for my Vista system, I had to double-click on Korean, then click on Korean and also Microsoft IME, then click on the check box next to Korean and the check box next to Microsfot IME.

I did that. Both Korean and IME are selected, but as it shows it in the picture the keyboard layout for Korean is only Roman letters and completely lack Hangeul.

The Hangeul keyboard layout includes both the standard English keyboard and the standard Hangeul keyboard. After you select both items to add as I described above, open an application and then left click on the displayed language on the language bar which should appear somewhere on your desktop (you'll have to move it to where you want it to appear in that case) or on the bar at the bottom of the screen. When you right click there, that should bring up all the languages you've added. Left click on KO and then press the ALT key to the right of the space bar. That should put you into Korean typing mode. If that doesn't work, you'll have to call your computer support outfit.

Maybe this guide will point out something that you have overlooked. It worked perfectly for me:
