I am Canadian and I going to get my RCMP CRC check done. I have the forms which I got for the Canadian Embassy. Know I I trying to find a place in which to get my fingerprints taken. I know most people say go to a POLICE station but I am afraid I will get the blank stare response and the go away shoulder shrug.

I looking for anyplace in Daejeon. If needed I will do it in Seoul. Thanks for any advice.

PS I do know about the Winnipeg Check. I will be doing that one too. But I thought I at least try and get the RCMP check done, too.

I got mine for the US done at a downtown police station in Daegu. Head to the police station that serves the area with the highest concentration of foreigners and look all smiley and apologetic at the same time. Worked like a charm.

If you can't get f.prints done, you can get kiddie detective kits from eBay or you can make your own prints at home using scotch tape and pencil graphite.
Just make a large pencil lead smudge on paper, put your finger on the smudge and then put the tape (sticky side) on the lead smudge and your print should come off. Put the tape on a piece of white paper. Practice a few times and then repeat for each finger.

Its a good thing. Very Happy

Get a Korean friend or co-worker to write a note for you, explaining what you need done and why. Don't forget the "why" part. Go into any large police station, and you'll have no problems.

Note: Only the large police stations will do fingerprinting, although the small ones will tell you how to get to the nearest big station. They're all generally very helpful.
