I've been looking for a job teaching in Korea for a while now. I have been surprised by the lack of recruiters returning contact with me. I have a good resume that includes years of volunteer work at a nationally renowned AIDS foundation.
I'm just wondering, given the stories of ignorance towards the disease, if this is something maybe I should not include on my resume?
The thought occured to me amidst the recent media coverage of the anti-english trend in Korea.
EDIT: put this in Job forum as it pertains to me getting a job |

Don't include it. Ignorance is high. I always leave out the word"Voluneteer" you don't need to include all unpaid work as volunteer. |

Yeah, they wanna know your nambyfem status, have a degree, are you in Korea and when can you start.
The rest are extra readings that just irritates them. |
