So I get sent a SMOE application form and thought Id fill it out. One of the questions on the self medical evaluation is 'Are or were you HIV (AIDS) positive?'

Um, I'm quite sure once you get HIV or AIDS, you can't get rid of the damn thing.

I think they meant "Were you ever FOUND to have HIV?"

This has been done for the thousandth time.

Didn't it occur to you that after all this time of using this same form for every teacher that comes into Korea that someone may have noticed it?

Yeh it did, but thought I'd mention it again. If ya wanna protest I'd suggest you do it toward noble causes like gay marriage and ending civil wars around the world instead of a thread which may have been done before.

Well, there's a difference between HIV and AIDS, AIDS being the later final phase. Since they're asking about either or, it's possible that you are now at the AIDS phase and WERE at the HIV stage.

Not on the application but at SMOE. They post weekly English quotes all over the building for people to memorize.

I got a good kick out of it...
