OK, I'll keep it short. I had a citation (not an arrest) for a misdemeanor battery. 7 years ago. Basically a loud argument with some physical contact. Not as serious as an assault. No charges were ever brought against me, no fine, no court appearance . . . just a ticket. It does show up on the FBI criminal check as 'dismissed--no interest'. Of course, it would be better if nothing was there.
Question: What are my chances of returning to Korea on an E-2 or E-1 (if I can get a job).
Thanks for any feedback!! |

If it was dismissed, it should not be on your record. Try getting a state back round check as opposed to an FBI one, not sure but I bet it won't be on there. |

Just get a state-wide background check from a state other than the one which it occurred. I had a couple of misdemeanors from years ago, and this worked for me with no problems. |
