I've been reading about memos etc. being sent to schools about contracts having to be closely followed, people being fined for taking extra time outside of their contracted allowed time in Jeollonam-do and the GEPIK program, but so far my EPIK contract has been flexible in my schools eyes.

Can anyone provide evidence that the contract is having to be followed EXACTLY with EPIK?? Why aren't these changes of things being made fair for all (due to people complaining) across the board rather than just some provinces and not others? My school hasn't received anything from the BOE in this regard.

Do you all have to deskwarm? Are you only allowed to take a vacation in the last 2 weeks of Feb?

if you dont have to, i wonder why on earth youd bring it up Smile instead what you should be doing is crossing your fingers and quietly hope that no one has noticed youve fallen through the cracks.

Maybe they'll get me when I return! I'll cop a 1 million won reduction in salary for January if they want to play hard ball.

I'm just curious, seems like if someone gets a bad deal, they post about it so I'm just wondering if it's the majority or the minority that are having their contracts adhered to word for word.

Actually I have to desk warm a bit, but I might ask to go home early.

I believe that regardless of what the PoE says, the school's principal has a lot to say in the matter.

I found out this year that I will be teaching classes for five weeks and then three weeks of vacation. No desk warming for be, becasue I will be teaching five or six classes a day.
I always had an extra week or two of extra vacation time in the winter.
