1) You're 12-years old and you don't go home until 10 pm. |

And yet when you're unmarried at 25, you have to be home by ten. Haahaha |

LOL.. Unmarried at 25 and must be home by ten.. That is so true. About 2 months ago i dated this girl, and i must use the word "GIRL", who is 28 yrs old that must be home by 10pm or her parents will be angry.
I could speculate that perhaps she was just trying to get english lessons, or an have an "english friend", but i've been on enough dates to know, that when daddy says its time to go home - She MUST go home.. oohh my god.. she might even lose her cell phone if she doesnt obey.. lol
What a joke.. |

You know you are a Korean when...to be here long enough to be considered Korean yet still an ESL/EFLer and find these exact same threads (usually verbatim) repeated ad nauseam trite.
Then again, I did find them fun(ny) in 1997., so when was the transformation?

you attempt to go into the subway or elevator before the people get out.
if you ain't chewing and slurping your food at a loud volume then you obviously ain't enjoying it. |

You go back home for a visit and you surprise yourself at how often you bump into people without apologizing or demand a discount on everything. And what do you mean there's a charge to deliver a pizza!

Back in the west you notice how you "slightly disregard" traiffic rules. Like stopping at crosswalks for those pesky pedestrians. |

For Chrissake, can we PLEASE keep this "oh those goofy Koreans hyuk hyuk hyuk" stuff confined to the General Forum??

...you think having 4 seasons is really special.
...you describe any girl over 110 pounds as "fat."
...your closet is full of black, brown, and grey clothes.
...you suddenly want to go to Prague or Bali because you saw them on a Korean drama.
...you become instant, lifelong friends with whichever classmates you sit near or meet during your "MT." (I find this tendency very endearing, actually)

You genuinely find a bowl of plain rice delicious.
Never understood that when I first arrived.
P.S. Mods perhaps you could move this thread into General Discussion? |

This thread is pathetic. Honestly, some of the above posts made me cringe. |

Boo hoo.
You know you're Korean when you drive out of a blind alley at 60 km/h. |
