Can anyone tell me about the process?
I've heard it basically involves getting your ID card updated, but is it really so easy?
Also, what did you need to take with you?
I'm guessing it includes a letter of permission from current employer, 2nd school contract and your alien card.

Thanks in advance.

If my memory serves me correctly, the items in bold are all that I needed, plus the fee which I don't remember but think is under 100,000 won.

The coordinator for the 2nd job handled everything for me including going to immi.

Also, as you probably know already, technically the hours/salary for the 2nd job can not exceed that of the 1st job(visa sponsor).

you'll also need the a copy of the registration certificate for the 2nd employer and they'll likely ask to see your passport.

you fill out the standard immi form and check addition/alteration of workplace. pay 60 00 and then they decide whether or not to approve it.

if you work at a public school, they likely wont allow you to add a private academy although a second public school would be ok. i'm not entirely clear whats allowed but i think public-pulic, private-public and private-private is allowed, but public-private isn't. i'm pretty sure that your hours arent supposed to exceed 40/week total for the two jobs.

call immi for details/clarification. 1345.

You probably already know this too, but you can only work a 2nd job if your 1st job(visa sponsor) is a hagwon/private school and the 2nd job is a public school. At least that is how it was explained to me.

I was told if your 1st job(visa sponsor) was a public school, your second job can not be a hagwon, and maybe not even another public school.

you need your passport, ID card, application and 60,000 won
original letter of permission from your sponsor on letterhead
original contract and copy for second place
copy of business registration of the second place
copy of department of education registration of the second place

hours and pay for your second place must be lower than for your primary place. second place must be to do with teaching english, company jobs are not allowed

but then even with all these, you may be told that a hagwon sponsored e2 can not have another hagwon employ them, even though this is in fact not true.
depends which immigration officer you see.

all of the listed documents required are true, but pay for your second position simply does not matter. hours, on the other hand, must be lower than the full-time job. you can also certainly work more than a total combined 40 hours, as one of the other posters suggested.

i went through the process myself, and it was fairly straightforward. a bit of a hassle, since i didn't have a representative from either company help me, but not too bad once you understand the requirements.
