When your university changed you from an E2 to an E1, did you have to go back to your home country, or were you able to change it in any country with a Korean Consulate? |

I don't know the exacts, but you should be able to go into immigration and get the "change of status of sojourn) sheet and fill it out. It should take you about 40 mins and they can change your visa status. You use this to extend your visa supposedly you can use it to change your visa.
Why not call immi instead of asking a bunch of ignorant foreigners (most of who wouldn't know what an e1 is. |

I changed from an E-7 to an E-1. As with most visa changes, I was required to leave the country for 24 hours - I went to Osaka. |
