|
|
| So, I'm thinking that Lee Hyori soju posters (like the ones you see in bars) would make nice gifts for some of my guy friends back home. Any idea where I could buy some? Online would be convenient. |

| Very good question. On top of that, just to make them last longer and become washable, is there any shop that can laminate a life sized poster? |

See about transferring the image to a long body pillow, ala Japanese otaku. |

You could try downloading some soju ads and printing them out yourself, or getting a shop to do them that doesn't care about copyright. Or you need to make friends with someone who owns a bar! |

I have this poster: http://thegrandnarrative.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/lee-hyori-like-the-first-time.jpg
Here's how I got it: I went to a little supermarket that had one of the posters up and asked the woman behind the counter how much it costs. She told me it wasn't for sale. I expressed my sadness and told her I really wanted to buy it. After a while I took out a 5,000 won note and told her I'd pay that much. She ended up giving it to me and refusing the money, even after I tried insisting.
I did it in broken Korean, was a little persistent but not pushy; very friendly. |

| most small supermarkets have those posters posted outside. Just go after closing hours and take one. I seriously doubt the store paid any money for those posters, they probably get them free with a box of soju to advertise. |

Sometimes, if you ask a random store/restaurant owner for a poster, they guy might actually give you one.
Higher chance of it happening if it's during some big international event being hosted in Korea. |
