|
|
i am currently half-way through travelling through south-east asia and from knowing a little about the 'hot' recruiting periods for korean schools i realise that it's coming up soon - most likely coinciding wtih when i'm due to finish up.
i've emailed a few recruiters and i've got some information which has basically thrown a spanner in the collective works..
basically, as i've never taught in korea before, i'll have to return home in order to get an E2 visa..which is completely the opposite side of the world from where i want to be!
most have said that the paperwork not being in my home country will generate will be too much of a headache for schools and they simply won't bother.
so my question is, has anyone managed to sort everything out without going home? |

| You have to mail your passport to the consulate at home. I think. You don't want to be in south east asia with no passport. Phone the embassy closest to where you are and find out if you can pick up the visa and have it glued into your passport in person, rather than the mail all the way home. I'm not an expert, just have nothing better to do on a Tuesday night so I post stuff on the web. Why don't you just pay 50 bucks for a cambodian business visa and get some low paying job, while you're over there, and just work til julyaugust when the second korean hiring spree happens. |
